About GALA

GALA was unofficially formed in 2002 when a group of inspired parents and social workers began hosting free educational support meetings in Spanish for families of children with autism.  Interest in these meetings grew rapidly within the local Hispanic/Latino communities, and in 2004 a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization was founded.

GALA’s mission is to serve any individual with physical, mental or developmental disabilities and their families.  GALA’s main focus is on the Hispanic/Latino autism community in Arizona, with an emphasis on providing educational information, quality services and valuable resources in Spanish.
